Nikopol is the most painful, most vulnerable point of Dnipropetrovsk region.

The news are the same almost every day: "Nikopol region experienced another restless night, the last threat of artillery shelling lasted 12 hours. Nikopol itself was hit in the morning with multiple launch rocket systems. As a result of the shelling, several private enterprises, a shop, a parking lot, and a lyceum were damaged in the city. A two-story residential building, two outbuildings, almost half a dozen cars, and a moped were also mutilated."

Since mid-summer, Nikopol region has been shelled almost every day. This is what the father of our ward boy with a disability tells us: "Hrads" from that side has been standing since the spring, but did not fire in the direction of the city. And on July 12, shells fell near us. At first, cities were shelled only at night. People spent the nights in basements, in tents outside the city and returned in the morning.

And then they started bombing during the day. When we lived in an apartment, in a high-rise building, the house shook from the rockets flying and falling in the city, it was very scary. When we live in the country, we feel less vibration, but hear the sounds of shelling all the time. We always told Roma: it's thunder, it's going to rain..."

Hundreds and thousands of houses were damaged and destroyed. But people remain in the city. After the shelling, neighbors clean the from the glass and debris. They cover broken roofs, take care of surviving property.

The old women are not going to leave their mutilated native land, they are willing to lie down in it, but not to leave. Young people here have seriously ill relatives, work, and housing. Businesses, cafes, shops are open. Nikopol stands, Nikopol holds on.

But the city needs help. Food, hygiene products, medicines, blankets and sleeping bags, heaters, flashlights and power banks - all this is extremely necessary here. Nikopol is regularly visited by our Mobile Humanitarian Hub. People's gratitude is hard to convey!
